Democrat Party hypocrisies are fueling Trump's growing power
Democrats continue to assert that President Donald Trump is moving America in the same direction that Adolph Hitler moved German in the 1930s. But Democratic Party hypocrisy is fueling Trump

The polarized hatred between Republicans and Democrats over politics, policies, and President Donald Trump’s second term continues to widen and worsen.
Democrats are screaming at Trump’s policies, which are slowly but steadily undermining American civil rights, and Trump is screaming back that they are traitors who hate America.
Democrats have been comparing Trump to Hitler. There are multiple examples. Click here for before the election. Click here for during the inauguration. Click here for after the election.
Many of Trump’s political promises sound good, but many more in reality are problematic. One of the most egregious is his policy of arresting, detaining, and expelling “undesirables” to torture prisons in El Salvador, one of the most repressive dictatorships in the world.
The expulsions are an outright violation of the U.S. Constitution and the founding principle of American Democracy, “Due Process.” Under “Due Process,” people are innocent until proven guilty.
Destroying “Due Process” was the first thing that Adolph Hitler sought when he took over in January 1933 and became the German Chancellor. Hitler’s Law was called the “Enabling Act,” and it allowed him to override the German Constitution and the Judicial system. Hitler’s NAZI party then orchestrated the burning down of the Reichstag, the German Parliament, and without evidence accused the socialists of perpetrating the arson destruction.
Hitler began eliminating Due Process, arresting his political enemies. He opened the Dachau Concentration camp in Germany and the arrest and detention, without trial, of not only Jews but also other so-called “undesirables.”
The oppression started out slowly. By the summer of 1935, the Nazi’s had only arrested without Due Process and placed in the new Concentration Camps about 3,800 people. In the Fall of 1935, German citizens who were Jewish were declared “Second Class” citizens.
Eliminating “Due Process” is the first thing that dictators do. They eliminate the need to justify their accusations of crime against those they oppose and hate.
Trump’s policies are not much different than Hitler’s when it comes to targeting individuals that he and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio believe are “enemies of the state.”
The only difference is that while Hitler kept the “undesirables” in concentration camp located inside Germany until the start of World War II, when he opened Auschwitz and other death camps in Poland, Trump is directly sending them to foreign dictatorships like El Salvador, which the U.S. influences through $135 million in annual foreign aid.
Democrats have made this issue the point of their political assault against the Trump administration, but their policies have been a mixture of hypocrisy and compromise.
When Russia bombed Sumy in Ukraine on Palm Sunday, killing 33 civilians, the Democrats were quick to denounce the killings. They accused Russia of anti-Christian behavior, a common trend of Communism, which abhors Christianity.
But Democrats said nothing when, on the same day on Palm Sunday, Israel targeted and bombed the Christian Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, killing 22 civilians.
The problem is that most Democrats are no different than most Republicans on the issue of human rights, due process, and preventing mass murder when it comes to the killing of Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims. It’s when the victims become Christian that most Democrats break from Trump’s repressive policies.
Democrats like U.S. Senator Cory Booker are among the biggest supporters of this hypocrisy, supporting Israel’s killing of civilians while decrying Russia’s killing of Christians and warning about Trump’s policies.
Democrats can’t claim to be “half-principled” by speaking out against the oppression of some people while being silent and justifying the oppression of other people, based on political views and beliefs.
That flaw in the Democratic Party has empowered Trump and the Republicans, who may be more oppressive than Democrats when it comes to violating individual rights. But for Democrats, you can’t be “somewhat” supportive of “Due Process” when it suits them and opposed when it doesn’t.
The Due Process Clause, found in both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, guarantees that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. This principle ensures fair legal procedures and protects fundamental rights from government overreach. Due process is broadly understood as comprising two main aspects: procedural due process and substantive due process.
Those on the Left who are screaming about Trump’s violation of individual rights are the bigger hypocrites than Trump and the far right. You can’t demand “Due Process” for some, whom you favor, but remain silent when it is denied to those you dislike.
It’s going to be two years before Democrats can untangle the stranglehold Trump has through Republican control of Congress during the Mid-Term elections. In the meantime, the “Due Process” violations, the mass expulsions to concentration camps in dictatorships like El Salvador, the policies that favor some countries over others, and the steady movement to the oppressive Far Right will only worsen.
Their tolerance of the arrest and expulsion of individuals accused of anti-Semitism is a reflection of this hypocrisy.
I am against anti-Semitism and hatred against all people. But criticism of Israel’s government IS NOT ANTI-SEMITISM. Arresting students who protest against Israel’s Government is a violation of their rights, not an effort to crack down on anti-Semitism.
Speak out against anti-Semitism. Don’t suppress legitimate civil rights expressions criticizing the policies of a foreign government as Republicans and many Democrats are doing.
If Democrats are angry about Trump’s rise as America’s new “Chancellor,” because that is what he has become through government-by-Executive-Order, it’s their fault.
Democrats are to blame. Democrats are responsible for putting Trump into office through their faulty and hypocritical policies. Democrats are responsible for the erosion of the American Constitution and its most important foundations, like the principle of “Due Process.”
Democrats can change and correct their flaws, or they can continue to empower the growth of the Far Right through Trump. But they can’t just blame Trump or anyone else but themselves for what is taking place.
Ray, it is one of the best articles written on the hypocrisy of Democrats. The Democrats have no conscience and no feeling for the deaths of people in Palestine. I am an independent myself, and would blame the Democrats for the problems we have today. I was hoping the supporters of Trump would see that their own rights are violated and would vote out the Republican majority. But it may not happen with the way Democrats are behaving.
I can quibble with you about how much the Democrats are empowering Trump, but I agree with your message. The American Founders said all men are created equal and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are all mankind's inalienable rights. Neither American political party seems to acknowledge that today.
