I have been covering Chicagoland politics for more than 50 years. My opinion and analysis writing strives to preserve a reputation for honesty, fairness, and truth, even when the truth hurts. I criticize all in my opinion columns and have no sacred cows, including in my own Arab American community. I tell it like it is. I am especially focused on Chicagoland suburban politics, which is marginalized by the mainstream news media. Coverage keeps our elected officials honest public servants.

I criticize governments, politicians, and policies equally based on policy decisions and actions, not on the basis of race, religion, or based on political party. My opinions and analysis reflect issues and perspectives as I see them. I have no sacred cows. I criticize the good, the bad, and the ugly. My approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict is driven by justice, not prejudice. I criticize governments, not people, and bad actions on all sides.
