- Suburban Chicago Mayor in Orland Park Keith Pekau bullies residents who asked him to support a resolution urging a ceasefire in the carnage in Gaza that has taken 30,000 lives. The 75 residents were respectful and believed they had a right to demand action considering that American taxpayers have given Israel more than $32 billion in taxpayer funds just in the past three months.

About 75 residents of Orland Park went to the Village Board meeting last week Monday to urge the village board, in a very civil and respectful way, to approve a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
What they got was a one-sided lecture and disrespect from Orland Park's far rightwing mayor, Keith Pekau.
Five residents from the community addressed the board in a very civil manner. There were no protests or civil unrest. But Pekau, who is one of the region's most intolerable elected officials, went on a rant conveying a one-sided narrative that distorted the conflict's history.
