Thank you Ray. I was hoping for something with more teeth. For example, urging the village to divest any pension funds from purchasing Israel bongs.

we have very weak leadership more concerned with getting praise than with achieving results … it’s a problem that has plagued the arab american community for years.

At least we know Sharon Brannigan had one friend on the village board in Orland Park, even if she didn't show up to oppose this resolution personally. Just my opinion.

one of the problems in the Arab community is we don't respect each other's opinions ... President Kennedy and President Reagan both said that there is no such thing as 100 percent in politics ... they said if you agree with 70 percent that's good ... as you know 70 percent is also a passing grade in American society ... unfortunatelym, some (not all) Arabs community activists and leaders demand 100 percent obediance and subserviance so they can be pharoahs and dictators ... they drag our community down

Instead of bringing the community together, the sponsors of the resolution decided to do it themselve so they could claim credit ... it backfired and their resolution was replaced by a more moderate one, which to me is acceptable ... had they reached out to everyone, they would have got a resolution passed that used the term genocide ...

but that's the problem that holds our community down. Some of our own people want us to suffer so they can become defacto heroes and leaders, when they really are not
