While Israel’s government executes its most violent war against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, it is waging an equally brutal war in the United States to ensure that it continues to receive blind support from American politicians.

The Israelis have always mastered public relations spin investing tens of millions in communications propaganda in the United States from buying advertising on television and in major newspapers, to orchestrating pro-Israel posts on social media where it enjoys preferential treatment over pro-Palestinian activists.

Journalists in the mainstream American news media have always been pro-Israel mainly because they have a larger affinity base of reporters working for the media, and because the media has been resistant to the hiring of Arabs as reporters. Those few Arabs hired by the mainstream media survive by ignoring their ethnicity and national identities or face firing as many have over the years.

As a consequence, Israel’s government propaganda campaign is often embraced as accurate and without challenge by the American public, which has been deprived of the "other side" of the story.
