I don't trust that Commie Bastard Putin
Vladimir Putin, a war criminal wanted by the ICC, should be prosecuted not talked to or coddled. If you want to understand why my generation sees Putin that way, read this post

This started as a post on my Facebook page after getting up early and watching this great movie on YouTube. But I realized it represents something more for people my age, Baby Boomers who lived through the feared post-apocalyptic holocaust fears of the cold war with the Soviet scum.
I just watched a great movie from 1962 this morning, released at a time when nuclear war fears from the Communist World continued to spread across the Free World.
It’s so easy to take those words “Free World” for granted today with all our privilege and self-worth that we enjoy these days.
“Panic in Year Zero!” was a Hollywood movie that offered an insightful look at what the Cold War nuclear holocaust might bring to America. It starred the phenomenal actor/producer Ray Milland, a young Frankie Avalon, and the Great sci-fi producer Samuel Z. Arkoff, along with many others.
The movie resonated with my generation because its fictional plot was so real. My generation was born in the wake of World War II when the Nazis came very close to taking over the world. It may sound like a joke today but had things gone just a little differently and those Nazi scientists like Wener Voin Braun not have been persuaded to come to our side, Hitler would have had the nuclear bomb first to strap on those V2 Rockets he was producing in 1944 and 1945 that frightened even General Dwight D. Eisenhower and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
As a young child, I was part of a generation that was forced by the Commies to live under the fright of the Sputnik Satellite that passed overhead in the sky, reminded by the military every few days in frightening news reports. And there was the Bay of Pigs fiasco in Cuba with another rising commie, Fidel Castro who threatened to destroy America.
American society lived under this umbrella of fear and real threats. Just the push of a button would send hundreds of nuclear rockets flying our way and hundreds more flying back there in response.
We were that close to mutual destruction.
Every week, our school alarms warned us of the impending nuclear war. We had to hide under our little wood desks or curl up in the hallways against the wall.
The psychological impact that it had on children at that time can’t be underestimated.
And you wonder why my generation hates those Commie bastards like war criminal Vladimir Putin?
You’ll understand why I don’t trust that commie bastard Putin or anyone who sucks up to him for personal wealth and profit.
Trump’s betrayal by taking Putin’s side in today’s war isn’t just an act against my generation. It is an act against our entire way of life. Against Freedom. Against Democracy.
Putin is the enemy. Mexico, despite border problems, Canada, and NATO are our allies. Ukraine is the frontline of the Communist Soviet resurrection. You want to wait while Putin readies to invade Czechoslovakia, the Sudetenland, and Poland again? (Remember, Soviet Russia was an ally of Hitler at the start of World War II and only came around to our side, the Allies, after Hitler betrayed that Putin's tutor, Josef Stalin.
I understand Arab Americans who can’t support the defense of Ukraine as they watch a terrorist Israeli government continue its war against a terrorist Hamas. Two terrorists killing each other, with Israel’s government doing a grueling better job of it with the help of American weapons and funding … imagine we gave Israel’s government another $8 billion while we are firing tens of thousands of Americans from their Federal jobs to save money. (More than 35 to 40 percent of those Federal workers are veterans.)
It’s worth watching this movie, which was more about substance than spectacular Hollywood Drama. And it is worth remembering what commie bastards like Putin put the world through back then.
Clearly, Putin wants to do it again.
You can either remember history and its lessons or learn from it by paying a terrible price to ignore it.
Imagine where we could be if all the money spent on MAD were instead used to colonize other planets and feed hungry. FYI: "Sudetenland" is the correct spelling.
