Gov. Pritzker's "Fair Tax" isn't Fair at all

Season 1 Episode 11
This is the Ray Hanania on Politcs podcast hosted by former CHicago City Hall Reporter and award-winning columnist Ray Hanania.
In this podcast we look at the hypocrisy of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's "fair tax" which isn't really fair at all. The swicth he is proposing from the Flat Tax to a graduated income tax is intended to agive him the ability to target tax income segments of our society like the Middle East class with tax hikes down the road, something he can't do now under the Flat Tax because it would impact everyone.
In addition to the change in the Flat Tax, Pritzker is also proposing a massive hike in the state gasoline tax. He’s planning a whopping 7 cent tax on plastic bags used in retail stores (whether you use a plastic bag or not). He’s going to tax streaming movie services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video. He’s planning “sin tax” hikes on cigarettes and sports betting.
Worse, Pritzker wants to tax all financial transactions – which impacts your banking fees, stocks and retirement savings.
