Excess money and broken election system fuels Illinois’ pathetic voter turnout
There is a cause for low voter turnout in Illinois elections, but unfortunately the wealthy candidates who do nothing prevent us from making positive change. They thrive on problems to win office

On the national level, we have a president who says one thing in a positive direction but does something else in a negative direction.
On the statewide level, none of the “leading” media favored candidates addressed the elephant in the room, Illinois’ and the nation’s weakening economy, driven by a reckless president who acts like a Pharaoh.
And on the local level, we’re inundated with obnoxious TV commercials from candidates flushed with so much money you realize that once they achieve wealth, the only thing left for them to buy is more power.
No wonder in some races, the voter turnout was only 14 percent, and in most races the turnout was only about 24 percent.
