Animal "charities" that pay themselves millions, like ASPCA

Animal "charities" that pay themselves millions, like ASPCA

I was sickened when I learned what the ASPCA, which broadcasts all those heart wrenching TV Ads about suffering dogs, actually does with that $19 a month they pushed my heartstrings to donate

You know how the holidays are. Most people with a heart get melancholy for those who suffer around them. It's the prime window for charities to appeal for donations.

Having been a small dog owner all of my life, nothing is more painful for me, or angers me more, than to see animals being mistreated, abused and harmed.

So, when I saw the ASPCA Ad, for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, it made me angry. The ads clearly showed the sad faces of dogs that have been abused by idiots and morons. So, I did what any softhearted, caring human being would do: I picked up the phone and made a $19 a month donation commitment, for one year, to help.

Those pictures of animals suffering are difficult to stomach. They are horrible. When I hung the phone up, I felt better. Until I learned the truth.

It's when I shared what I had done with friends, that I became sickened. They were quick to point out how the ASPCA spends more on their rich, wealthy, entitled executive board members, their contractors and their pals, than they do on needy animals. They pay a fat-cat Canadian advertising company to create those Ads to tug at your wallet and money through your heartstrings.

So, I took the time to look up the ASPCA, and it upset me even more. If I am being asked to dig deep into my wallet to help, shouldn't they be doing the same? They're not.

This is what I found.
